Hello, I’m Carys - a Yorkshire photographer who travels the UK capturing your love.

I’ve spent the last decade capturing wedding photography, event photography, portraits, newborn photography and truly anything people (and pet) related. My ethos is to ensure you get authentic, natural photographs of you and the people you love, and that you feel comfortable from start to finish.

Background

HOW DID I GET HERE?

I’m a Yorkshire gal with a great passion for photographing all things emotive.

Originally, this lead me to a Documentary Photography and Photojournalism degree - and - to a whole world of topics. From studying the criminal justice system to protesting on the streets with LGBTQ+ movements, all the way to newborns, wildlife, travel and even abstract. Only months after completing my degree, I returned to university - this time, as a lecturer. Four years ago I opened my heart, mind and lens to the world of weddings, all kinds of relationships and all kinds of events. Essentially, I’m an inclusive, people-person who’s found their perfect place as a photographer.

A career of emotionally-driven work enabled me to capture special moments and your love, just the way it is. Leading me here, to a world that requires so much care and respect to work alongside effectively. Prioritising beautiful photography and your comfort, always.

P.S. Yes, I am a Yorkshire based photographer, but I travel everywhere!

I’ve promised to be part of the solution to making this industry represent all the ‘colours of love’. The industry sadly lacks representation of real diversity. Meaning LGBTQI+ folk, people of colour, of varying religions, ages, sizes & abilities aren’t put in the spotlight in the right ways… so, if you’ve ever felt under-represented, know I am here for you.

I have years of experience with people-based photography. I have photographed a wealth of events, live performances, over 100 babies, maternity photo-shoots, engagement photography, birthday parties, restaurant openings, pets, head-shots and more across the UK.
